Yenka Update Dec 2022
To improve security, in December 2022 we launched a new version of Yenka. If you have used Yenka before you may notice some changes.
If you have a school licence and you have already installed the Yenka software in school, you can continue to use the installed version.
However, if you have new computers in the school and need to reinstall Yenka, you will need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org and share with us your current serial number or activation key or proof of purchase. We will then send you a link to the new installer.
Students in a school with a purchased licence should ask their teacher to contact email@example.com to obtain access to our new home-use version. Teachers will need to provide the school’s serial number or activation key or proof of purchase.
Hobbyists who have previously been using Yenka at home for non-commercial purposes can fill out our short form to access our home-use version.
The home-use version cannot be used in school or for commercial purposes.
Due to contractual reasons, the home-use version for hobbyists is not available in certain countries, including countries in the Middle East and in South America.
The home-use version now works inside and outside of school hours.
The home-use version has an expiry date. You will need to contact us again once it has expired to regain access.
As per our EULA, the home use licence is granted at our sole discretion and we reserve the right to terminate your access.
Trials for teachers
If you are a teacher and would like to try the software before purchasing, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will give you access to our home-use version, which will need to be installed outside of school, for testing purposes.
Product changes for all users
“Online content” is no longer available. However, you will still be able to access all the “Local content” models.
The new school and home use installers no longer contain Yenka PCBs.
Any new schools purchasing will obtain access to all of the Yenka products. Pricing has been adjusted accordingly.
